Many Thanks... & A Giveaway

Thank you so much to everyone who has bought a pattern in the past two months. I'm so proud to be able to share my designs with you. I'm thankful for many things this year. A loving and supportive family, good health, a good home, and the best two friends anyone could ever ask for. 2008 has been a very rough year for a lot of us but through it I've become a stronger person and mother.

Our tree is going up tonight. I've been making and gifting handmade decorations and ornaments like crazy this week. Here's one I made last week for a friend's mother from this pattern with this yarn I found in AC Moore. I swiss darned a poinsettia design onto one side. You can't go wrong with glitter yarn during the holidays.

I've wanted to have a 'lil giveaway for awhile now and Thanksgiving feels the right time to me. I'm giving away emailed copies of all 5 of my pattern sets to 2 lucky winners. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post saying what your thankful for this year. I'll use a random number generator to pick the winner Saturday Sunday night. If I pick your number and you've already purchased the patterns I can send them to anyone you wish, a friend perhaps?

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

*Update* I'm going to run the giveaway until Sunday night. I'm visiting some family on Saturday and won't have Internet service until we return home Sunday afternoon.

I am thankful for so much: health, happiness, family and friends. The US taking a turn for change, some change, any change, at this stage of our history. When things get rough we all have to look on whatever bright side there is. Good wishes for all on this special day of thanks. Thank you, Kris, for your generous give away!

I am thankful for another chance to get my life back. For the surgery I was finally able to have, for a renewed commitment to my husband after 28 years of marriage, for my children who are good boys and for my grandson who is the joy in my day everyday.

I am thankful for my family, friends, and this wonderful country we live in. I am also thankful that I can knit and make items for my family and others. I am always amazed at how a small gift of a hand knit cloth can make someone's day.

I am thankful that my husband is gainfully employed in a job that can, for the most part, support us. I am also thankful for having my husband, and my children, all together, happy and healthy, today. I am thankful for the ability to finally knit (after 2 decades of on and off trying!), even when my 2 yr old destroyed my current on needles project last night - cause i can do it again! And thank you for such a generous giveaway!

~Kris (love the name - its mine too!)

Have a nice day!

I'm thankful for my family. Both of my children have found their life partners this last year which has added to our family in such a wonderful way. Both new family members are an asset to our family and such nice people on their own. My mother, at age 93, is doing better than she was a month ago. Any good time at age 93 is something to rejoice over. I have a husband I love, children and grandchildren whom I love. A nice home, a steady job and a stash of yarn. Life is good!

I am thankful for two wonderfully terrific boys. I am thankful for fabulous friends who make my life here in the desert better (even if I do miss the northeast).

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for the blessing of having my mother with us this holiday season. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in June. We were afraid we would be without her this year.
I thank God everyday for this blessing.

I'm thankful for my husband who's been wonderful this year. I'm thankful for my mother, this may be our last Christmas with her and I'm definitely focusing on her this year. And I'm thankful for peace, regardless of the craziness going on in the world.
